Our Policies
Initial Consultations
Before we can care for your pets or set up a dog walking schedule, you will need to contact us for a free, no obligation consultation. The consultation usually takes about an hour during which time we will provide you with information about our company, complete the paperwork necessary to care for your pets, & collect two sets of keys to your home.
We want to make sure that we are a good fit for you & your pets needs, so we normally email you our paperwork packet prior to the consultation appointment so that you can fill it out in advance. That way, during the consultation appointment, we can spend more time getting to know you & your pets rather than filling out paperwork.
If you are doing interviews for a sitter and we would need to come back at a later date to pick up the paperwork, keys, and payment, we will have to charge you the cost of a half-hour visit for your area in order to do so.
Scheduling Service & Cancellation Fees
If you are a first time customer, please contact us to set up a consultation appointment; we cannot accept a pet-sitting assignment without one.
If you are an existing client, please contact us or call us at 612-991-3758 to schedule your pet-sitting assignment.
We appreciate two weeks notice in advance for non-holidays & 3 weeks in advance for holidays when scheduling whenever possible, but we do understand that last minute bookings & changes happen. If you need last-minute service please contact us as soon as possible & we will try our best to fit you into our schedule.
If you are returning later than expected from your trip, we will gladly continue caring for your pets & issue a bill for the services rendered upon your return.
We do not refund or credit visits for late departures or early returns.
Our cancellation fees are as follows:
- If you give four days or more notice before your scheduled pet sitting service you will be billed $10.00.
- If you give less than four days notice before your scheduled pet sitting service you will be billed $25.00.
- If you give less than seven days notice before your scheduled pet sitting service that includes a holiday will be billed $50.00.
- If you call and/or email to cancel dog walking and/or potty break service after 3:00pm on the day prior to a scheduled walk/potty break you will still be charged for service.
- We do not offer refunds for late departures and/or early returns. Instead, will we credit your account for any unused visits & that credit can be used towards future pet sitting services.
- Any
amount left over after the cancellation charges have been paid will be
credited toward you account & can be used towards future pet
sitting services.
Holidays
A surcharge of $18.00 per day applies to the following holidays:
- New Year's Eve Day
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- 4th of July Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- The day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve Day
- Christmas Day
Payments
For new customers, payment in full will be due at the time of the initial consultation for your first scheduled service.
Existing clients must pay for their service in full in advance in order to secure their spot on our schedule.
Please note that we only accept cash or checks at this time.
Visit Exclusions
We always have your pets best interests in mind when caring for them & that is why we will NOT do the following:
- Visit pet less than once every 24 hours.
- Care for pets that are crated all day unless they are used to this & that is your normal routine with them. (We require 3 visits per day under these circumstances.)
